I Die When We Must Part

I Die When We Must Part By Rick Rucker My Dear, I die when we must part, It stills my beating Heart! Blue skies turn to Gray, The music of Life ceases to play, The birds that used to sing, Now I can’t hear a thing. Just the touch of your Hand, The memory, slips away like grains of Sand! The warmth of your enfolding Kiss, Perhaps the thing that I most miss, Lying in your Arms, Where I couldn’t suffer Harm, When I’m with You, I don’t have a Care, When alone, at your picture, I sadly stare, Sitting next to my phone, Hoping that I won’t long be alone Now it Rings! And my once dead Heart sings! You will be here in an hour, Just time to get a Flower, A long stemmed red, red Rose, To thrill You to your Toes! The color Red, you see, The blood that You bring back to me, When you jump start my Heart, Until the next time that we part!
