Love Poem: I Can'T Destroy What Isn'T There

I Can'T Destroy What Isn'T There

I offered you my soul
with every sacrifice you take another bit
I cannot lose this last control
you always want what I can't give

Silence opresses my chest and yet
I cannot seem to let you go
Tears lean out through my soul's pits and bet
your cries hide in my voice

As time goes by the lights fade out
while you slowly lose the wish to know
and I burn in it,this angry fight
in which you just refused to follow

And when you laugh it's shattered glass
so much for love, here comes the hatred
I hope you too are being harassed
by all the scary monsters jaded

Everything's weak, and false and lost
except your lips, they're right, a cross
to bare, a poison -deadly, the wanted cost
of your kiss is the bridge across
I can't keep trying, we are ghosts
