I Ask You

I ask you
Have you ever loved someone so much
That you've longed to have so much more than just their touch
When you close your eyes you see them there
And into each others eyes you deeply stare
Sometimes being to much for you to bare
Do you still taste his sweet tender kiss
Are there many more things you so vividly miss
When you think back does it cause you both pain and bliss
You wonder how it ever came to this

I ask you
Have you ever loved another so completely and whole
They and only them has captured your very soul
They took your breath away
And to the heart beating music you together sway
You know on the line for them you heart with forever lay
Waiting for them no matter how long it takes is where you'll stay

I ask you
Have you ever loved a person so true
You knew what you are now doing is the right thing to do
Sitting here waiting for their call
Because today could be that day after all
Maybe soon you'll get a chance
With them to spend together son time
Until then I sit and wait in line
I do this because of the love I have for him
I do this because living a lie as I did before is a sin
You are most unhappy when you just can't win
So you turn things around
No longer left out of the crowd
For him I wear my heart on my sleeve
It's falling bleeding now to the ground
So I ask you
What's that sound
He says-it's the beating of hearts between two lovers
That will always be forever bound
Unlike any other
True love that will never die
Love is something to which the heart must abide

I ask you
Does this mean you still feel you need me too
Or am I just playing my heart and soul for a fool
