I Am Not My Own

I am not my own, and God settles it Paid by price divine, my life now is His... Esteemed and valued, I’m wondrously formed Verily wrought-out with Providence love. I am not my own; my life isn’t mine Kept by the great almighty Creator... With redemption’s eternal assurance Belonging* to Him, my heart yields with thanks. Since I'm not my own, I'll live for my Lord Serving Him with joy; following His steps... Not as a robot, or vain mannequin But as Christ's steward gladly reaching-out.
*Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. August 6, 2019 2nd place, "STRAND choice 8 any theme any form" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 1/28/2020.
