Love Poem: I Am Not Defined By My Birth

I Am Not Defined By My Birth

I am not defined by the life I lead
I live like a puppet, dancing to the tunes
Of my family, my society and even that of my religion!

But then, when I am me, in my own company,
Faced with myself in the mirror of my bedroom,
I do ask myself whether I shall tell them all,
About who I really am!

The real me is a mystical water bubble
Having flown way off its set limits
As my keeper was trying to keep me happy
Even if he was way too busy with his toils
There, in some world known as the one fairer!

I am lost, in a world which does not belong to me
I am a child of the skies,
Soothed only by the fact that I have found my keeper
In human form, even if I die each time I talk to him
About everything else other than the bond which ties us!

I am not defined by being human,
I remain a celestial being, trapped in a human body,
In a world where nothing soothes me, except for that Love!
