I Am Laid Bare, Naked With Nothing To Hide

I Am Laid Bare, Naked With Nothing To Hide

Just how much pain will thee, in hot anger inflict?
Enough that angels of mercy shall fall and weep?
Have I not paid for my faith being derelict,
this raging misery in which I can not sleep?

Thou hast broken my evil heart and pulled my claws
torn my betraying eyes from my black shrunken skull.
Made me blinded with strong drink, sleeping in horse stalls
now as lost ship, sinking with huge holes in its hull.

Will thee be sated, with destruction of past pride
extend thy soothing voice to sing again to me?
I am laid bare, naked with nothing to hide,
empty ship, tossed and sinking in a stormy sea.

How much more deep torment will thy mad revenge heap
on a dying soul, promising true love to keep?
