I have tried and I think I have tried
When you fail they are notified
When you shout they are silent
I will shout to that extent
You can live to tell
And forget to dwell
Among which is most significant
And mislead him who is so infant

Yet nothing farsighted I preserve

To my people, enemies and debtors
That each time I meet my people,
