I Am But a Mortal Craving Your Existence

i am but a mortal craving your existence,
a lost soul yearning to be near your
spiritual core-
the marrow running through my bones
knows only your name.

i fear not the nightmares that creep in the
night, for i shall awaken to your devoted
smile and tender touch.

your ghost is with me when you are not
near-
it whispers words of fearless adoration
and brave love.
i sought you out many times in my youthful
dreams and here you are, my love,
greeting me with assurance and hope.

i know not what lies ahead, only what
lies in my heart.
saturated in the holy trinity,
dousing myself in all things that could
connect my soul to yours.
created only to breathe your breath,
existing only to feel your perpetual
touch under the ebon sky at night.

i am but a mortal craving your existence,
a forsaken and forgotten lingering soul-
for i was lost in the world of humankind,
yet you found me through the eyes of
redemption.
