Love Poem: I Am But a Mortal Craving Your Existence

I Am But a Mortal Craving Your Existence

So, why should I accept that you are real

But for the fragile tear that slips your eye

Reflecting in its depths, the craves I feel

Though wrapped within an aura, heavenly

Oh, why did I let loose, your seraph's sigh

For it was moot, lest someone set it free

And now its song is rending deep, my heart

With just the prospect of your tender cry

Still, you were only phantom from the start

And Ive been but your sad ghost's ... alibi.
