Love Poem: Hurt

Hurt

Bite my lips so I won't cry,
The lump in my throat gets bigger as you lie,
As I 'soak it up' you seemed satisfied,
I'm at a loss for words; tongue tied.

There's no longer a vibrancy between me and you,
In my world of chances all you blew,
And you don't think, because your lies have no logic,
There's no more abracadabra,no magic.

What hurts more than your lying'
Is when I walk away from you.
But I'm done with sighing'
Sometimes a girl needs some truth.

With just a hint of sarcasm'
And some classic acting,
With a pinch of raised eyebrows,
And a half-cup of reacting.

So I've told you my mind,
Now you're the one wide-eyed,
But it'll never amount to the nights I've cried.
