Love Poem: Hundreds of Sunflowers

Hundreds of Sunflowers

"in my world, hundreds of sunflowers burst into ecstasy" (by Poet)

I wonder - why my heart doesn't cry out any longer...
                               sorrows, aches, crushed dreams ...
nothing happens ..nothing shakes my heart,
nothing sways me away, no murmer,
a placidity is all I feel.

I thought - the open window closed ..
the one which let me BREATHE, gaze outside -
listen to the myriad of blooming vermillion roses WHISPER,
a SIGH, a despair has set in...probably good in a way,
as much as it hurts, my heart doesn't quiver any more.

                  But,
when your thoughts serenade me away...
the way you looked at me, the way you smiled at me ..with the dimple on your chin,
in the flicker of a moment I am the same fairy again...with fluttering wings,
in my world, hundreds of sunflowers burst into ecstasy,

I UTTER with a GASP - Oh No! my heart was never lost,
I only left it in a safe place...
                                                    with you.
