There are these hurts and injustices
That burrow themselves under our skin
And if they are not released
They can become a cancer within
Humans have so many amazing qualities
So much potential for greatness
But oftentimes we get dragged down
By ego driven fears and hatred
Some fears and angers are justified
But we still need compassion and empathy
If no one steps forward with kindness
We repeat the cycle again
And again... And again...
There are hurts and injustices
They affect everyone on the planet
Whether directly or indirectly
Our souls feel the weight of damnation
Humans have so many great qualities
If only we worked together
We could create a Utopian society
Where our hearts and minds are mended
Where we focus on love and light
Where we forgive and rise higher
Where there is goodness and mercy
Acceptance and grace that inspires
I wonder what it would take?
I wonder how much longer we need?
For history has not shown us
That we've learned beyond fear and greed
Let us focus on the positive
Let us shine our lights from within
Our souls are infinite and connected
Like tapestries, our lives are woven
We can heal the past with the Light
We can choose to do what is right
We can stand together as one family
And create a far better and lasting reality
