Love Poem: Homebodies

Homebodies

I can fly us anywhere
You name the place, I'll take us there
Want to go explore the seas?
There're seven, come explore with me
And continents? Yep, seven too
I'll visit all of them with you

Or we can just remain at home
There's no real pressing need to roam
I'd be happy snuggling
In a cozy blanket bundling
Up with you against the cold
Embracing you would not get old

Underneath I'd hold your hand
No books tonight, they're on the stand
And after when the lights go out
Quietly my heart would shout,
"Woot! At last! Here comes true bliss!"
Then starting with a little kiss

I'd tell you how I've loved you long
It started when you sang a song
The voice I heard caused me to melt
And from then on for you I felt
A special feeling deep inside
My true companion, time I'd bide

Patience, that's the only way
Though how I want you now, today
A quiet contemplation sought
To soothe and ease my longing heart
For you I'll wait for all my life
And hope one day to call you wife
