His Words
It was his words I fell in love with first
For each rendition I had a thirst
His voice so melodic like music it flowed
Every note in each sentence seemed to
capture my soul
How pure and simple his message sent
Hours upon hours of listening spent
Our lives came together precious moments
we did share, I felt so warm and welcomed
with his love and in his care
Then one day it happened as I guess I knew
it would, the long distance came between us
and so silently he stood
It is hard to keep the love alive when words
are all you have, his needs were more than
I could give how tragic and how sad
I am grateful for the time he gave his loving
words my heart will save
I loved him then, I love him still
I guess somehow I always will...
