Love Poem: His Kiss

His Kiss

His kiss steals something from me
A longing deep inside my heart
Wanting to know him with everything
That touches upon my deepest yearnings

His kiss whispers a breath of fresh air
Twisting through my longing and wishes
Making me want to press into him
With feelings that only I can give to him

His kiss sends a shiver through me
Sensual cravings that color my world
Violets, blues and crimson reds
That show how alive I’ve become

His kiss forces me to remember him
With a light that fires deep within my heart
Carrying with it those sweet memories
That tear at my every wall, pressing in on me

His kiss creates a feeling within me
That grows brighter with every touch
Whispering into the center of me
With words that cause me to hope

His kiss craves a part of my spirit
That I don’t always allow others to see
But for him, I seem to let down my guard
And release the promise of sincerity

His kiss inspires me to give back to him
A part of me that I have hidden away
The pieces of my heart that were broken
And I pray he can replace them with tenderness

His kiss delights in fulfilling my need for dreams
That won’t go away during the night
Dreams that are alive and welcome me
To share his love, hope and faith – his life
