His Everlasting Friendship
god sees the beauty you hold deep within,
what he views first is your heart, disregarding your sin,
through the messes you've made and the sorrows you feel.
he still offers his love, and let's you know he is real.
your future lies in his hands, no need to look at your past.
for he breaks all chains that bind, and gives you love that will last.
like a puzzle, he shows u the steps you must take,
and you'll see some decisions are not easy to make,
if you fall he'll still hold u, and says "try once again"
he never gives up, he is truly your friend
he wants us to see what real friendship does mean.
to stick through thick and thin never leaving the scene.
with all the messes we've made, or the problems we cause,
his peace stills our broken hearts, and so we reflect and then pause,
i see now what i didn't and can't take back what i did,
but from those mistakes, god brought me up from being that little kid,
and that's what i hold to, he tells me he will always be near,
i can't see his face, but i just know in my heart he is here.
when i was a child, i prayed to see him like i could see my mom and dad,
over and over i prayed that prayer, and when he didn't show up i was sad.
i could not reason why he wouldn't show me his face,
but i now understand that our friendship was built on blind faith,
he listened and cared like no one else could do,
so many tears he has caught through the struggles i went through,
and when he picked me up as i was falling to the ground,
i heard his echoing voice, a faint whisper of a sound,
"i'll never let you go," he said "i'll never let you go."
tragedy may come and people will judge you, but i'll remove your every foe,
for what i see in you they can see not, because your heart belongs to me,
and the song of your life will play a beautiful tune for only me to see.
when you understand the least are the first, and the most sincere at heart,
in heaven the judgings much different from here, and that is where you'll start.
the efforts you give, i give mine in return, my love will never cease,
so feed your soul, me, every single day, and i will give u peace.
