High School Sweet Hearts

A boy and girl meet
By being dared to dance
Afraid to step on each others' feet
They take an awkward stance.

Seems like an insignificant meeting,
After all it was only junior high
However their feelings were not fleeting
As years have since passed by.

Classmates saw their relationship and turned green,
Because they saw the couple, and wanted the same;
A bond so strong it gave off a glittering sheen.
Their love so fierce, so strong, only a miracle could tame.

They hope one day to marry,
But are still too young,
So each other's burden they will carry,
Until that fateful day can come.

Their relationship was far ahead of its time,
For it is a bond that cannot be broken.
Together-always will fight through grime;
This description of their love isn't whole, but only a token.
