Love Poem: Hidden In the Recycle Bin

Hidden In the Recycle Bin

Hidden in the recycle bin,
I found your resentment towards yourself-
To desire my love is no more, fine?
For your failure, you blame yourself,
And forgetfully, you forgive me mine?

We travelled together far in time
To the future, past and back in the now
Our stories, written together, yet so different-
Have you never wondered how?

When I said deadness, you heard boredom
I’m but a story-teller, lacking in wisdom!
Believing what was imagined,
I forgot what I once believed-
That poetry was only an escape
That, to you belongs my soul-scape!

My present wasn’t a vain gesture
It was a submission of my soul
But life has a rough texture
It sure takes its toll…

Take this new surge of poetry
And take my life
For, the words are wont to buzz
Till my sun sets…or “Alzheimer’s” sets in!
