Hesitation Has Cost Me Much Joy

Hesitation has cost me much joy,
sweet moments I didn't share,
it wasn't either greed or insecurity...
I preferred look away and not care.

If this guilt had not been there
to control my sense of extreme humility:
a laugh, a kiss, a touch or gesture
wouldn't have been missed by me.

Some wonder why they didn't dare,
why they wouldn't dream of what was already there,
not to explore all the wonders and delights of desire...
being reluctant to show the tender side.
.

Wished my decisions hadn't been too premature,
making me prone to mistakes, that in turn
turned out to be a disaster rather than a failure...
watching everything I built quickly burn.

Hesitation has cost me much joy,
the tender feel of willing and passionate lips,
to assure those eruptions of internal passions...
now, what I desire is deluding me.
