Love Poem: Her Laughter

Her Laughter

She laughs
Even when she hurts,
Laughter, she can’t blame
The past, the moments
When sorrow and fear, silenced
Laughing like a lunatic
She blames nothing for her
Joy – except the Creator
Who made her love
Beyond her tears, throughout
Years of discouragement,
Darkness that fought with her light
So she couldn’t see the way
Sometimes…

She laughs even when she feels
Heartbroken, lonely
Like the quiet tear flowing
As she swims through the rivers,
Coursing through her heart…
Bleeding rapids, currents embracing
The pools, eyes wide as the circumstances
That make her cry and laugh
All at the same time.
