Love Poem: Heaven's Mirror

Heaven's Mirror

. for public domain

I should me crave not to know,
from where the bright stars are born,
or to where the rivers flow,
if I not know a human heart
first, our best and greatest part.

The image and likeness
reflects the Treasure Divine,
that glows more brightly than gold.
We love, for Heaven loves us
first, quenching every thirst.

Brush off the dusty mirror,
then perform the simple tasks.
Mine the ore to gild the throne,
roll out the crimson carpet, yes,
first, in Love for the Royal Guest.
