Heart Over Mind
The space between my heart and mind
Is a chasm wide and deep
My brain says to let her go
But my heart, wants her to keep
I know I should give heed to the part
That is full of intellect
Especially since decisions of my heart
So many times have been suspect
But since the heart is the part that breaks
The brain is relinquished a back seat
Perhaps that is why, in matters of love
Mistakes, I constantly repeat
