He reached out His hand
And created even our hearts
With His light and love
He made us who we are today
Children who love and pray
His images whom He breathed
Life into – awakening
To the light of a new dawn
The glory of moon and stars
The joy of a heavenly sun
He filled the earth we live in
With light, love and laughter
Silencing the worry and fear
With a breath of His inspiration
Soothing the soul’s despair
With wonder and joy and smiles
Sent to remind us all that
His love is enough to sustain us
His love is the greatest thing
We will ever know or find
His love is the answer to prayers
The kindness, the hope, the faith
That whispers through our lives
Inspiring, enlightening, inviting
Everyone to reach out and find
The wonder of a God who is alive
And welcomes our heart to ask
For the light to fall over the darkness
In rays of healing and fulfillment
Lighting the way for His grace
To prepare hearts to awake
With the joy pouring out inside
Always wonderous, always abiding
To encourage, inspire and delight
With His heavenly insight
He made us all to be His children
Alert to the yearnings He gives us
Pursuing a relationship with Him
A connection that is built on love
Abiding in the heart who knows He is
The light, the joy, the peace
The grace that gives us a chance
To believe in the One He gave
The One and Only SON, Jesus Christ
Who answers our heart’s quest
For a Savior, a king, a friend
One who is the solution to our need
For salvation from the sin we bleed
From pores filled with angst and greed
He is the One who agreed to be
The Redeemer, the Peace, the Sacrifice
For the souls who know, without Him,
We’d be doomed to death and hell
Without a hope for the home we’ll call
Heaven, the place He has prepared
For all God’s children, the ones who know
He is alive and His Spirit lives on the inside!
