Having the Time
I have the time, to sit, gently contemplate
the birds of the sky, the clouds that float on by.
I have the time to meander somewhere new,
escape to a small pocket of nature,
emerse myself away from modern toil.
I have the time to say a friendly 'Hi', to chat, to walk,
to cook, share stories, laugh, reminisce.
I have the time to learn, to improve, to change,
time to heal, reignite an old flame, or love anew.
I have the time.
So may I choose to use it wisely,
not pity time gone, but savour time now.
For I have the time,
to make the world a better place,
because of God's unending grace.
