Love Poem: Haunting Had To Know

Haunting Had To Know

haunting me so i had to know

existence beyond the

understatement of your voice

hands kindred of your image

angles of footsteps figure eight

providing glimpses inside your future

or the significance of your past

Could we be made to last?

in the haven of infinite nuances

should I pace myself quietly?

will it bring me adjacent to your heart beat

single out what moves a smile or whence from you

how wide the shores of your patience

undaunted measure of family and friends

on whom can you depend?

the man’s man or a woman’s end

to tread your turbulent waters

with the necessity of gingered nurturing

If a whisper between us blends

alchemy of your slumbered meetings

deems deserving of your dreams

wishing myself the means

If I could have forever

are you there forever?

If not then…

it was worth the journey of your lucrative

obscurity because I had to know

how far I should go

why you haunt me so
