Has Jesus Changed? Or Is It Us?
I often hear of the “newest fashion.”
Perhaps I’m one that’s “old fashioned?”
Even at church, there’s a push for “contemporary.”
Throughout the building, and the sanctuary.
I suppose many want to keep up with “the times.”
It’s the way of reaching the hearts and minds.
I wonder; “has Jesus changed?” “Or is it we?”
“Are we walking in Christ?” “Are we truly free?”
I’m not going to worry about keeping up with the rest…
I’m giving my life to Jesus
And Ill try to do my best!
I want to give him my love, and my attention!
I’ll let others worry about their own direction!
Just a simple faith in Christ is what I’ll count on!
Christ is always someone that I can depend on!
You stick with new ideas and current fashions!
I think I’m going to love Jesus, with a compassion!
He’s all that I need, and someone that I’m proud of!
As long as I have him... Everything else I need less of!
Does Jesus change? No! He’s the same as ever before!
His promises and words of life
I always need more!
I thank and bless Jesus!
And the power of his name!
With him in my life! Things will never
be the same!
