Happy Valentines Day

Beauty is in the innocence of youth.
The older we get, the beauty fades away.
Is it in the feast or the famine?
What makes it this way?

The burdens we bear, weigh heavily upon us
Buried beneath the bullshit and lies
Innocent once, was I, were you
Youth stolen, the proof, written in lines

Don't believe?
Just look in the mirror.
Read them upon your face.
Can't you see?
Innocent once, was you, like me.

Beauty is in the deeds we do.
Actions speak louder than words.
Sincerity asks for nothing in return
Affecting love to be truly blind.

Ignorance is bliss
Wisdom, the burden
Knowledge, the truth
Love, our hope

But if love is truly blind
Does it not make sense
That we may never find
True Love, in youth or in old age?

Yet we all still hope
Yet we all still seek
That someone may see
The beauty
In you, like me
And that
To me
Is
Truly
Beautiful...

P.S.
Though I may never find you,
Though you may never know me,
Know that I think of you always.

Happy Valentines Day ...
