Happy For Once

Nothing like some of grandma's homemade pizza
With some cool slices of watermelon.
She doesn't know it, but I appreciate everything she is.

Like every other year I've been here,
I arrived and knew I have come home again.

Nothing like relaxing, listening to some music.
All while feeling so happy about how I spent the day cycling.
They don't realize it, but my heart's been healing since then.

May the remainder of this summer
Be one of the best summers ever.

Nothing like smiling so big,
As I realize just how blessed this life of mine is.
Nobody sees it just yet, but never before have I felt so free.

Letting go of it all, today I really feel as though
I'll at least be happy until this coming fall.

Nothing like having another day to look forward to,
Especially if it's with any of you.
You may not realize it yet, but I sure am happy to be here again.
