As I sit and reflect on the precious moments in my life
Several enter my mind
Like the day I became your Grandpa's wife
He was a good man, a loyal man, one rarely does find
Had I not met him, my future wouldn't have blessed me with you
I'd likely remained alone , and secretly blue
Of sorrows I've known many
Because of drifting from the Lord's way
Yet Jesus forgave my errors
And blessed me on the day
You were born
Your arrival on earth was a God Send
That healed my broken heart
Your smile filled an emptiness within me
Your love embraced me from the start
As I sit and reflect on the precious moments in my life
You, Squirt (and your brother) come to mind
You two may never know how much delight you provided
When I needed that most, you gave in the perfect time
So I've paused today on your birthday
To tell you how much I love you
....
My love for you is deeper than any ocean floor
My pride in you eternal
And my dreams for you much more
My prayers for your joy and happiness remain perpetual
As my heart journeys with you in every way
And although I cannot be there with you
I wish you a favored and blessed Birthday
