Love Poem: Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday

Daughters are your own forever
I've heard many mothers say;
And its true I could not bear it
If you ever went away.
God looked on me with favor
When he chose my blessed child
To bring me joy and goodness.
How the angels must have smiled.

They saw how well you fit into
My open, waiting arms.
One look is all it took to be
Enchanted by your charms.
You are now a mother too.
Three times the same as I.
You know how daughters take your heart
With that first newborn cry.

The love you feel the moment
She was born, won't go away.
Like you are for me, your daughters
Become dearer every day.
As one mother to another
You well know the truth I say,
Our daughters are our blessings.
Have a happy, grand birthday.
