Love Poem: Happier

Happier

Happier than the morning sun,
Isn’t that the way that life should be done?
I’m also disappointed to note.
That lately the poet's writings are devoid of hope,
they are all poems of trauma and strife.

I’m still Happier than the morning sun,
Isn’t that the way that life should be done?
I’m also disappointed to note.
That lately the poet's writings are devoid of hope,
They are all poems of trauma and strife.

Of late I’m more aware of my own mortality,
Man is not meant to be alone.
I need love badly,
my hearts not made of stone.

In order to find true love,
the first place where love must exist in your own.
The search for love is a lot like, looking for stars in a daytime sky.
As the loneliness mounts, it can weigh on your pride.
You find you can’t drown out the sound,
of loneliness with bad tv and wine.

I’m still Happier than the morning sun,
Isn’t that the way that life should be done?
I’m also disappointed to note.
That lately the poet's writings are devoid of hope.
They are all poems of trauma and strife.

Until you are affixed permanently by my side
I guess I'll have to cultivate happiness inside.
