Haiti Rhymes With Liberty

Haiti rhymes with LIBERTY
Ayiti rhymes with DIGNITY
Haiti rhymes with BEAUTY
Ayiti rhymes with DECENCY
Which is the first step to proudly
Hoist the slippery hills or climb the rocky
Mountains of fairness and democracy.

Haiti is the first hard fought free
Country of African ancestry
In the world. Haiti has endured
For being brave, daring and matured.

Unfortunately, powerful imperialist countries
Have ways to impoverish or use tricky tactics
To ambush such noble ideas about human equality
In God's name, that all humans are born to be free.

I can go on and on, please read fully the history
Of Haiti, before throwing the word ‘poverty'
In the face of humanity, before adding more misery
To the cause or to the throat of a brave land of resiliency.

If you knew the true and the unedited story
Of such incredible oasis, you'll feel sorry
For this Haiti which has been backstabbed by friends
And humiliated by enemies with toxic soppy hands.

Haiti rightfully earned and deserved a huge break
Remove the gooey or baited traps and the wired barriers
Let Haitians swim safely, freely and justly in the tropical lake
‘Cause Haiti has to catch up the years in arrears.

Haiti rhymes with LIBERTY
Not with kakistocracy or slavery
Not with misery or naughty
Not with mobocracy or insecurity
And not with shabby or poverty
Yet Haiti will remain steady and sunny.
