Guilt By Association

Yes, you've made
love
      and opened your
heart to others
      Even the darkest
night
      can't assuage your
wounds
      You've drunk sweet
wine
        danced on the
beach at night
       waves crashing on
the shoreline
     Let the late summer
winds
      blow away guilt
Only a moment before
         the dance is over
forever
     The twinkling stars
lasts for millenia
But you don't
       Another pawn in
this most human game
   of chess
and yes
    we'll take a minute
to watch
       as you surrender
yourself
      to the cosmos
      You're part of the
vast human chain
       You're guilty bu
association
       Let the spirits
a tell you
            what you need to
know
