Love Poem: Grown Love

Grown Love

Knees bent slightly head lowers farther
shivering hopeless I can barely breathe
mind lifting pieces off the pile one at a time
trying to recreate a picture of what once was

A hand softly brushing a shoulder guiding
darkness off into a lighter place
courage calms chilled flows of ice
broken from what's frozen inside

Risen eyes to greet your kind heart
new born bulbs shoot miracles made
where flowers greet the barren brush
and I melt too with the dawn of spring

Held close to the touch of an adoring birth
Grown love sooths care from mother earth
