Love Poem: Grounded

Grounded

Frustration weaves through into my mind making it hard to notice anything except the
obvious flaw in the tapestry, where are you?
I rip my masterpieces into shreds, what is this coming to?
Our perfect, radiant, sparkling burst of love was blinded by a light brighter than all our
feelings put together
They say true love comes easy and runs deep, but what about when it decides to leave?
Your love came into my life in the blink of an eye, but left an eternal stain on my once pure
heart
You extracted everything that is me out of me
And now display it on a shelf in your mind only you can admire
How vain do you think you could be if you tried?
But yet, my heart yearns for your touch of envy
I think you tear me down
Take that part of me to build yourself up with my perfection
Only when you’re fathoms above me do you feel satisfaction
Only when you decide to peel back the layers and dissect my inner most thoughts will you
see what I mean
