Love Poem: Grief

Grief

Illusion subdues the waking reality when the soul is weeping and heart crying.

A man chases a shimmering mirage of inconceivable expectations, only to stumble upon the rock of a grievous reality.

Sadness is a notorious goon that continues to plunder your intellect.

We yearn for people who no longer exist and desire things, beyond what is meant,

Grief is a powerful force that pushes a man to relinquish his grip on reality.

Moments of despair and ended an era,
and the cold blow of melancholia tricks me into chasing the chimera,

The era is gone, but I still view the storm surge
My eyes are wet and my heart on the soul is troubled in this big world.
.
.

I sat under the dark sky and pined for my lost love,

Eyes red with grief, heart sore with memories,

I waited in the lonely downtown, waiting for my lost love."
