Love Poem: Granny Kim

Granny Kim

Her hands were hard and her wrinkles earned
and with those hands your bottom she would burn
Church all Sunday and Wednesday evenings too
You better go or the devil would fear for you
Granny was tough but she always did provide
You never had hunger or cold with Granny by your side
You mind your manners and never cursed
Somehow there was always candy in Granny's purse
She never worried but she always prayed
Her greatest joy was when each grandchild was Saved
Granny went to Heaven years ago
I wished my children had her to know
I think somehow they would have made her mild
For Granny always had the heart of a young child.
