Love Poem: Got Away

Got Away

Here I am
Can you see me
Take that knife
From my back
Quit trying to bleed me
Now that it’s out
Don’t turn your back
For I am about to attack
How do you like that
I’m going to resend
All that you gave
Wear these chains no more
And even the score
Knock you on the floor
Walk out the door
Won’t be fooled
No more
Rather be a loner
Than a slave
Dug myself
From the grave
For which to me you gave
I’m going to be
Bigger
Stronger
To you a stranger
Feel my anger
Finally feel alive
If you don’t like it
I’ll take out my forty five
Till then
I’ll drive out of hell
And away from the black
Make you see
And you’ll find
Like a flash
Not me
Only you will be blind
Give you a second
To contemplate
As I shove down
Your throat
All the hate
You gave
With no regret
Just laughing
Humiliating
Making me want to cry
Think that will happen again
Not to I
Goodbye
If you think so
Your living a lie
Like when you said
That you loved me
After beating me to the floor
Well I’m about
To even the score
Found someone
To love
And adore
Got back my heart
The one you tore
As I transcend
Never again
To break
Or bend
Let a new love come in
So this
Is all I’ll say
You’ll never hurt me
Not another damn day…
