Goosebumps

I’m scared of myself when you’re around;
A mouth full of sandpaper
my voice and throat are bound;

The sensation crackles with danger
like lightning, every hair is raised,
anxiously awaiting the cliffhanger;

Holding it together by a silken thread,
every drop of pent up energy
you released it, and I bled;

I had no idea how hungry I was, how thirsty;
In so deep with just one jump
right to a crossroad of this incredible journey;

Every rush brings another thump
covered tips to toes in goosebumps.
