Goodbye Is Not Forever
Torn apart when you were taken from me, I prayed for merciful death to set me free. Endless tears, flowing like a river, I cried, believing that with you gone, love too had died. But there on the horizon, I notice a golden rainbow, and somehow deep in my heart and soul I know, you’re sending me a message in the gentle breeze, for my ears only, in the soft rustling of leaves… “My beloved, even though I’m in heaven now, our hearts and souls are joined forever more.”
