Good Bye Mother

as we stood where our mother lay,
we seen her slowly slip away,
with a smile away to dream land,
i stood there and held her hand,

good bye mother till we meet again,
as i held her hand and kissed her head,
slowly we seen her slap away,
we love you mother is the last we say,

you were our hero and our rock,
gave us love thought we fought,
happy dreaming where you may go,
shame of this as we don,t know,

we will meet again in another life,
your our mother and were you pride,

say hi to gran if she is there,
i still picture her with her long gold hair,
she taught you how to hold us tight
any wrong doing you put us right,

we say we love you and hope you understand,
this is the last time we get to hold your hand,
you had a good as we could see,
if we were naughty we went over your knee,

all these things we remember of you,
our love to our mother will always be true,
dream away as we let go your hand,
good bye our mother we love you dear,
watched you slip away, with no fear,

this is last time we say good night,
give you a hug for the last time,
you will be with us in our heart,
till we meet again mother, now we must part,

sweet dreams for you as we can see,
as you drift away like a gentle breeze,
we bow our heads, as say god look after her please,
one last kiss before we go,
our dear mother we will always love you so,

good night mother as we wave good bye,
we say this with a tear in our eye,
you loved us with all your heart,
fair well, fair well, as now we part,
