God's Compassion Reigns
God’s compassion* reigns midst sublime delight
Granting peace with wondrous forgiveness’ light
Offered to everyone who trusts His grace
By faith in the Saviour upon truth-brace
For life eternal toward heaven flight.
Divine love reaches from celestial height
Seeking sinners in their transgression plight
To prevail over iniquity race
God’s compassion reigns.
Faithfully overcoming error-blight
Along mercy and goodness, indeed right
To win the hearts of those with stubborn case
Like mine confessing pride, fear, and doubt’s trace
And now secured in Christ’s fellowship tight…
God compassion reigns.
