God Robbed the Grave

“We can’t change the cards
The cards we’ve been handed
All our lives been let down
Let down and abandoned
Everyone looking out for themselves
With poor intentions on the road
Lost integrity and identity
Deceit and lying is the code!”
The speech from the enemy
Has wickedly conceived
To blind us in delusion
So that we won't believe
It’s the signature on his face
He will never ever relent
He has a marathoners pace
To murder your faith will you consent?

We ask ourselves is this for real
The story that we are in
We need to unplug from the matrix
Like Neo but where do we begin
This is our world no excuse
But the story was foretold
But we tried to live on our own
Without the Creator in control
We found a better walk
And forgot the one who spoke
We did not teach the children
We took it as a joke
Generations came and worshipped
Idols crafted made by hands
Surrendered loyalty and safety
Bowing to gods in foreign lands

Words are written in black ink
With keystrokes on this iPad
We should not let our faith sink
And fight like David had
Around the world other warriors yell
“Put up a fight endure suffering”
If we falter in the battle
More angels He will bring
Many times I confess in my rhyme
I want to quit and drop dead
But I remember in the meantime
“I am with you’”, push ahead
So we shall not be daunted
No matter our life’s events
And be not tempted or haunted
God robbed the grave a 100%
