God Is Here

We pass by people every day
Just brush shoulders what do we say?
Excuse me, pardon me, in fact that's good
But how many of you out there
are feeling misunderstood?

You're hurting, you're sinking
deep in your life
you thought your success would
alleviate strife.

But now on top and oh so alone
the dreaded call, you pick up the phone
Hello? Who are you? Why did you call
The voice says"It's me why did you fall?"

What do you mean? I played all my cards
And look at you just look at you
you didn't get very far.

I love you
I've tapped you on the shoulder many times before
but all this love for you
you have ignored.

I have a plan for you I wish you to be loved and not to fall
I helped you grow and be what you want
but my teachings went unheard and
unfollowed and you fell into a swamp

I tried to warn you
I wrote you my bible
I'm never through
tapping you.

He hung up the phone and cried all night
this greed, this drive, I didn't fight
I walked on people and closed their doors
Forgive me Lord.

And then the best feeling filled him
and he knew God had answered
the candles lit up in his house
and he was no longer Satan's mouse.

But ready to follow the love
of one who forgives
a whole life of walking away
of taking control

He accepted jesus that fine day
and with a smile and skip , went on his way.
