Love Poem: Glide In Heavens

Glide In Heavens

All of these feelings, how did they tipple?
A few weeks back I surely was ok...
Like dropping ice down on a hard nipple,
We could part ways now. Yet I still delay...

Am I still hoping we’ll find a way?
Fool myself with longing. We meet again.
A high and then depression? God, no way!
I reason the odds are I’d wait in vain.

Another tragedy? Another fall?
Oh please! I've been there. I won't surrender,
I'll bang my stupid head against brick wall.
I hear you sing, your voice is so tender.

These poems are alive and all that's left
Of you and me, magic, time together.
I want to know your flaws, you are a heft.
You deserve heart's front row seat forever.

How are you doing when you don't read me?
Get up with no note of me by your door?
Both of us are fragile so we agreed
Such intensity's killing us. No more!

Yet I'm willing to pay this bitter price.
We would meet again, we'd live the moment,
Obey the thirst. We would eat some plain rice.
Nothing fancy. Should I be a poet?

To glorify this lifetime of romance,
Mutual understanding that we had.
I felt it instantly. I grabbed my chance
To be accepted once your face was read.

Yes you are a bird of just my feather.
You read a lot, you sing and you compose.
Wish we'd find a way to be together.
Violets, lilies, orchids, ruby rose.

I’ll keep these intense verses to myself,
I will not disturb you with my presence.
I think of you while you are swamped with self.
We’re back to earth after glide in heavens.
