Love Poem: Glass of Friendship

Glass of Friendship

I know we moved from lovers to friends in a short moment in time.
But where was time when we were enjoying the moment?
Could it have been the beginning of true love?
Or a great friendship?

The distance between us has made you blossom like a rose;
A rose encased by a delicate glass.
Denying the onlooker the pleasure to touch and pluck its petals.

Would breaking the glass harm the flower?
The rose being you,
And the glass friendship.

The distance between you, the glass and me is the desire for the inevitable.
Do you see what I see?
Do you see the glass break?
And do you see me without friendship?

As it would be shattered so our love could continue where it had never stopped.
But just delayed by the glass called friendship.
Time has ministered to me of the way I feel for you.
And I hope that you feel the same way too.

Love from your admirer from behind the glass called friendship..
