Love Poem: Glance of Love

Glance of Love

I got a touch of fear! I feel I can hear!
Her calling out low, then screaming out loud.
How I loved her, I left her, I hurt her.
Well it happened that way, I’m sorry to say.
In the name of thy Father and Holy Ghost,
I’m on my way to Hell via the coast.
It’s true, I tried, and the innocent cried.
Yet I always meant I cared.
Shouldn’t have stood with my back to the wall, givin it all,
whispering words meaning more to me, than to you.
It’s not there in my blood, no not in my part,
To put pain in someone, to cut up a heart.
Having much to be done, and some undone.
Helping one to be, to be someone.
Hurting when you feel, you’re just one.
Rain, it comes and strikes, the pain.
The winds they blow and blow again.
Then all is quiet and remains the same.
A smiling face,
a warm embrace,
and time . . . .
to feel, to see,
to understand,
to hold a hand.
A time . . .
     to Love . . .
             again.
