Love Poem: Get In the Spirit

Get In the Spirit

As my fear grows deep,
And it’s hard to close my eyes to sleep.

You never know who is nice or who is a freak,
There are so many that feed on people who are frail or who are weak.

But I love to see it when the tables turn,
And watch them become the butter in the churn.

What goes around usually always comes around,
Whether good or bad your just reward will be found.

I’ve seen those who were mean and cruel in their younger days,
Become the victim to those who they showed no mercy to as age stole their life away.

Life has away of evening the odds,
And reversing the tables on those who were clods.

I get angry at the sight of physical abuse,
If you don’t want them around why not cut them loose?

Does it make you tough picking on somebody who won’t fight you back?
Or someone who is weak, is it guts that you lack?

That person you want to hurt may be the best friend you’ve ever known,
So stop being such a jerk and let a little compassion be shown.

This is the first step to accepting a good life,
One that doesn’t live on heartache and strife.

footnote: To all those who wrote such kind comments to me on being abused, thank you but
I was only writing feelings I have about abuse, I am fine .God Bless Ron
