Garden of Love
Have you ever been
to the garden of love?
Where Jesus prayed
to His father above.
While His disciples slept
He prayed on through the night
not a sound could you hear,
it was so very still and quite.
Such agony that fell on Him
there in that garden of love,
that an angel came down
from heaven above,
to give Him the strength
that He needed to finish his prayer,
such love He had that night
knowing that our sins He must bare.
They came to arrest Him
Jesus showed His love for them,
as others tried to do them harm,
He not once tried to condemn.
Garden of love is where
you must pray to the end,
do not sleep, as did the disciples
for on God you can depend.
