Love Poem: Frozen In Time

Frozen In Time

Frozen in Time

Emotions lost, frozen in time.
Scream for the warmth of your breath.
Words remembered, once stationary
Now dance across synapses of the mind
Where snowmen watch youthful frolics
And broken hearts crumble.
Blankets of cold passion embrace a white shroud.
Frigid hearts become sentinels of anticipation.
Awaiting a magic restoration that will not come.
Unfeeling steadily laden with hope...
Casts its burden upon a dream. Sorrows mourn.
And scream again and again
For the warmth of your breath
But the chill of reality freezes solid cold.
Oh, dreadful, painful rejection.
Emotions lost to an icy whirlwind.
Warmth, dreams, hopes, and prayers are
Lost in the coldest winter storm.
A heart frozen in time…

P.S. If you are male OR if you prefer, please follow John Loving iii suggestion and substitute
"breast" for "breath". It seems to give this poem more depth and pizazz. Thanks John iii for
your comment!
